Limelight Exceptional Piece watch
Inspired by a model from the 1970s, this Limelight Exceptional Piece watch features a distinctive baguette-cut spinel setting known as "jupon" or petticoat, named after the petticoats that caused the haute couture dresses of the period to sway. Today's interpretation, with a double jupon setting, demands an impressive level of creativity and expertise: extreme precision in cutting the baguettes, defining their position, adjusting their tables and setting. The black spinels require highly complex setting work due to the reflection of their tables. Particular attention is needed during this stage, which is carried out exclusively by the very best gem setters at our High Jewelry workshop. The perfect undulation and fascinating shimmer of the spinels, carefully held in place by prongs without any additional gold between them, depend on this expertise. Here, the creation has been produced with baguette-cut spinels.
