Piaget Emperador cushion-shaped watch
Combining haute horlogerie and high jewelry is an art that Piaget masters in a dazzling manner. In a magnificent expression of watchmaking expertise, the movement is an ultra-thin complication combining a dual time zone with a perpetual calendar with retrograde displays for the date and days, and classic displays for the months and leap years. The functions are displayed on a highly elegant black mother-of-pearl dial. In an expression of jewelry expertise, the watch is set with diamonds of exceptional richness: case including the sides, hour markers, case back, around a sapphire crystal and an oscillating weight that is also gem-set and visible through the transparent portion. Blending brilliant and baguette-cut diamonds, it is presented on a remarkably fine, supple bracelet exclusively adorned with baguette-cut gemstones. Over 600 hours of development and some 300 hours of gem-setting work was required in order to produce this unique piece in diamonds.
